Lego for ASD Aid
Taupo New Zealand
Project
Parents already know the benefits of LEGO play but most people are unaware of the powerful benefits it has for children with ASD.
Freemasons Taupo (Lodge Kaimanawa No.426) is collecting LEGO for the local ASD support group, to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) including Asperger's Syndrome.

This Lego will then be cleaned and given to families with children who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder. (some Lego will be set aside for a play group which the Taupo ASD support group is setting up).

History
The Freemasons Victoria Task Force started a project collecting Lego for the ASD Aid group in Australia, We (Lodge Kaimanawa No.426) liked the idea so much we took on the challange of starting somthing in Taupo.

After talking to the local ASD support group we contacted the good people at ASD Aid international who gave us some great advice and the go ahead.

Before the project even started the lego started streaming from people in Taupo and from lodges all over New Zealand .
